This week we asked Cardinal Nation, ‘Who Will Start the Most Games at 2B This Season?” Here are the results
|Other (trade, free agent, etc)||0||0%|
These results were very close and show that Cards fans are mixed in who they think will get the majority of time at second. Matt Carpenter made a late charge to take the lead, but as of earlier today, Kolten Wong had the lead. Descalso trailed the whole way.
I believe Matt Carpenter will win the job out of Spring Training while Wong will be on his heels, eventually taking over the starting spot. I don’t believe the Cards will make any more moves regarding second base. Shortstop seems to be a worry now with Rafael Furcal‘s elbow problems.
New Contest – Kolten Wong Debut Pool
I believe it is safe to say that Kolten Wong will make his Major League debut at some point this season. The question becomes, when? I am going to open it up to Cards fans to decide that.
This contest is free and the winner will receive a fabulous Cardinals prize. All you need to do is leave a comment under this post that has the date Wong will make his debut. Make sure your date is a date of a Cards game.
I will keep a running tab on this post.
The person closest to the actual debut date will win the prize. Only entries from this post will be accepted and we need a minimum of 15 entries to proceed. Only one person per date please. Also make sure you leave your name when you comment so we know who to attach the date to. The contest closes on Opening Day.
Good luck Cardinal Nation!
